Guess I'm not sleeping tonight because this quandary will actually be haunting my dreams

You’ll figure it out (eventually)

I have to vote for myself but I’m deeply obsessed with all of these intersections.

If I could eat at one place for the rest of my life… that would be the winner without a shadow of a doubt lol

- The Four Horsemen: Stumbling downstairs right at 5:30pm for a bar seating? I'm there.

- Villager: Always wished Villager was my neighborhood cafe

- Cho Dang Gol: Lunch or dinner, solo or group, quick bite or proper meal, CDG does it all for me. It's truly the most reliable and comforting spot.

- Taku Sando: I crave a sandwich every other day. Also a great spot to hangout with friends and share some ribbon fries.

If this was a real corner I'd never leave :')

Love this - here are my final four: 1. Poppy’s (great coffee, pastries, and prepared foods) 2. Lilia (perfect pastas, always changing menu, and secret off menu steaks) 3. Butterfield (perfect selection of high-end groceries) 4. Bemelmans bar (live music and martinis)

I understand this is a food blog and as such the obvious temptation is to pick all spots to eat, but personally I just like eating wherever in the city I end up. With the exception of breakfast, I don’t need food right next to me. So therefore:

Unnameable Books, city’s best used bookstore.

Spectacle, or any similar microcinema with interesting selection.

Harpers Bread House

The Bush (or any queer bar, but the bush has actually-good cocktails, not always the case)

Damn good corner!! Unnameable is such a great shop! Being in there at like 11pm after a few drinks always trips me out in the best way haha we need more late night bookstores

Going to eat out on this conversational gambit for weeks to come. Such a good idea

Not me spiraling trying to craft the perfect corner... Rhodora, La Cabra, Bernie's, and can't possibly narrow things down to a fourth because it's overwhelming. it'll have to be a triangle, sorry!!!

I think there's a general recipe: 1) a neighborhood / casual spot - like a lion's bar where you can get a reliable meal, some sort of caesar salad and burger combination 2) a coffee shop with great vibes and even better pastries. bonus for a brekkie sandwich / burrito. I love la cabra for this or from Lucie come to mind 3) a wine bar that serves food and 4) the casual cheap eats spot

Such a great thought piece! Now I will be observing every corner in NYC to see how well it's curated haha
