This and Bánh have been on my list to try! I haven't had Vietnamese food in any other city, but I've never felt like we were lacking in NYC (though I guess I don't know what I don't know). My go to spots for a big bowl of pho (with tripe, must have tripe) are Pho 86 in Bensonhurst and Pho Bang in Little Italy.
